Sri Tripurananda Swamy held the Bhoomi pooja for the Ratnalayam temple on April 26, 2001. The idols, crafted by the famous sculptor Ganapathi Sthapathy, were brought from Kanchipuram. Mr. M. Shankar (B.Arch) designed and built the temple’s impressive architecture. After 22 months of the Bhoomi pooja, this holy place dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, Goddess Padmavathi, Andalu Devi, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesh, and Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parmeshwari, was completed on February 19, 2003. Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji installed the idols with blessings from Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. The installation was completed after a week of poojas performed by the late Sri Mudumbai Ramanujacharya Swamiji and the late Sri Chandramouli Guruswamiji according to Aagaman Shastram and Pancharatra traditions.
