4. Kaal Bhairav Temple

This temple is dedicated to one of the avatars of Lord Shiva, known as Bhairava, a fierce avatar. Lord Shiva here wears a garland of skulls and carries peacock feathers. Kaal Bhairava means death and a time when the fear of these two is destroyed. The Kaal Bhairav idol sits on a dog, which is his vehicle. There is also Kshetrapal Bhairava, another avatar of Bhairava. The temple is located in a small alley, with thousands of people waiting in line from kilometres away from the temple. 5. Tulsi Ghat

This ghat is dedicated to the saint Tulasi Das, who wrote Ramcharitmanas and Hanuman Chalisa. He was the one who composed the Awadhi version of Ramacharitmanas’s poem. Once upon a time, when Tulsi Das finished writing, the manuscript fell into the river Ganga, but surprisingly, the manuscript kept floating until it was picked up. Tulsi Ghat is the place where the life of Lord Rama was staged for the first time in the theatrical art form. There is also a Ram temple constructed to signify this. Respecting Tulsi Das and his great writing, his wooden blocks, pillows, and idol of Lord Hanuman are still stored here. During Diwali, hundreds of people visit this place to look at the stage art of Krishna Leela. People with any wishes visit the Lolark Kund and believe in making them accurate.

6. Annapurna Devi Temple
