HAL Aerospace Museum is distributed in two parts. One of the halls depicts the history of aviation in India. It began in the 1940s when the British started flight operations in the country. These include the following: Lakshya (Pilotless Target Craft), Ajeet, Canberra, HT-2, MIG-21, Kiran, Marut etc. This museum is a favourite amongst visitors of all ages due to its impressive array of aircraft.
Beyond aviation, you can also learn about space technology here! HAL Aerospace Museum exhibits include the PSLV and PSLV Heat shields. An ATC Radar with an L Band range of 200 nautical miles is exhibited at the museum. This rotates at the speed of 3-4 Rotations per minute. With a frequency of 1250-1350 MHZ, this is used by the meteorological department (for weather forecasting).HAL Aerospace Museum exhibits aren’t the only attractions. Anyone who loves to read can visit the Library at the museum. You can follow the history of aviation. There is a static display of Aircraft models and their parts.
