Shepparton Museum, also known as SAM, is an art museum in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. This museum was established in 1936 as the Shepparton Art Gallery. Due to a lack of collections to build the gallery, it reopened again in 2021. There are nearly 4000 artworks, including one of the largest ceramic collections in Australia, in this museum. The building in this museum also has an excellent visitor centre, a studio for Aboriginal artists, Kaiela Arts, an outdoor amphitheatre, and an art hill cafe.

This museum holds one of the most significant collections of Australian ceramics and indigenous Australian art, one of the most important works by the extended Namatjira family and ceramics by Merric Boyd. The SAM Foundation was established to raise funds for a new building in 2013. In 2017, a new design by Denton Corner Marshall won the architectural design competition for the new Shepparton Art Museum building because of its gorgeous architecture. The new building also won the Victorian Architecture Award in 2020, and this museum was the first Australian museum to receive a 6-star green star rating.

St. Brendan’s Catholic Church is the most famous because the first mass held in the city area was in this church in 1876. The first reference to St. Brendan’s Catholic Church was in the Advocate newspaper in 1881, and it was mentioned about the drawing of an art union for St. Brendan’s Presbytery. The architect and builder of the church are unknown because a fire destroyed all the records.

This church was first opened in 1879, with nearly 400 people attending. In 1883, it was decided to enlarge because the population of Shepparton kept growing so large that it couldn’t hold enough masses. Later, after the church’s expansion, a fire destroyed it in 1900, but it was rebuilt in the same year, and further enlargements were carried out by 1924.

The Albanian mosque is a rural cinema located in a residential area of Shepparton. It is also known as the Shepparton mosque. It is associated with the Albanian Australian community and the centre of Albanian Muslim society. This mosque was built in the late 1950s and is Victoria, Australia’s first and oldest mosque. The mosque’s architecture is significant, and the building style combines traditional elements with popular elements of the 1960s styles of Shepparton.

The entire brickwork is white cream colour, and on the sides, there is a crenellated parapet with some decorative brown brickwork, and the roof has four small domes. On one side are vertical pointed lancet windows; on the other, there are rectangular windows with white frames. The entrance is a wide rendered panel, where the upper section has a pointed arch with coloured glass, and above that, the letters Moslem Mosque are written. The second half of the panel has two white-frame doors with glazed rectangular panels and two square brick columns in the canopy. There are also landscape gardens around this area.
