There is a famous saying by Bill Cunningham – “Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life”. Whether we realize it or not, fashion is a part of our daily lives and we enjoy it. With the motto of ‘Fashion for a cause’, the style game literally went up a notch as Nepal held a fashion show on the very grand Mount Everest. Yes, you heard it right! No jokes here and no hidden tactics! Nepal has been able to create history by organizing the Mt Everest Fashion Show for the very first time at an altitude this high in all these years. As the whole world looks upon Everest, Nepal uses fashion as a device to bring the sensitive topic of climate change into ‘limelight’.
Known as the Mount Everest Fashion Runway, the event was held at Kalapathar at a height of 5,340 meters which is a commendable work done for boosting the tourism sector of Nepal. Making its way into Guinness World Records, Nepal gave the world something interesting and challenging to look forward to.
