2. Nachi Falls
Nachi Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Japan. It has a drop of 233 meters which holds the title of being the tallest waterfall with a single uninterrupted drop in the country. There was also a Buddhist temple which once used to be by the waterfalls, but it was destroyed during the late 19th century. But you can visit the Nachi Taisha Shrine which is backed by the stunning views of Nachi Falls and the valley.
Nachi Falls is not just known for its stunning views, but for its history as well. In the year 1918, a Sutra mound was found at the base of the waterfall which contained many archaeological artifacts such as mirrors, altar fittings, Sutra cylinders, and statues. These mounds were believed to be created by priests during wars and served the purpose of hiding their valuables. 3. Fukuroda Falls

6. Ashiribetsu Falls
If you’ve always wanted to visit a frozen waterfall during the winter, then make sure you visit Ashiribetsu Falls. This waterfall is located in the Takino Suzuran Hillside National Government Park, which falls under the southern region of Sapporo.
The walk to the waterfall has the Atsubetsu River passing by, which is usually filled with chunks of snow lumps that look like huge pieces of marshmallows floating in the water. And, don’t be surprised if you see a couple of people skiing, as there is a country ski course right next to the trail.
