We took a flight from Bangalore and reached Port Blair a little late due to the flight delay. Upon our arrival at the airport, there was a driver waiting for us to transfer us to our hotel. After we had checked in, we freshened up and rested for a while before setting off for some sightseeing in Port Blair.
We visited the iconic cellular jail today and it was a interesting to know about the history and significance that the place held for the colonists. We also indulged in a snack session opposite the jail and later returned to our hotel and called it a night .
Day 2: Cruise, beaches, and more
We were to take a cruise to the Havelock island in the morning. So we got up early, freshened up and then proceeded for same. Havelock island was a surprisingly beautiful place that was serene, calm, and refreshing. After we had checked into our hotel here, we rested for a while and then set off to visit the Radhanagar beach.
Radhanagar beach was an incredibly soothing experience. Clean, calm, and pristine, we spent quite a lot of time here and then did some shopping at the beach itself. Later, we returned to our hotel, had dinner and then slept off to the sound of ocean waves.

Upon our arrival in Port Blair, we went on to see an aquarium and later on did some shopping on our own. Also since today was 1st October, one day before Gandhi Jayanti, there was a huge procession going on in the area in celebration.
This was an amazing experience for us since military parade and all the shows and displays were in full motion. This was an experience that was usually reserved for republic day parade in New Delhi but we were glad to witness its glimpse in Port Blair.
We had our dinner at the hotel itself.
