Standing in the middle of the Parsakhera area on NH 24 is a massive ‘jhumka’ gleaming in the sunlight and beckoning passersby. Installed just a few days ago on 8th February 2020, this shimmering addition to the city’s landscape is over 14 feet high, 200 kg in weight, and is decked with colorful stones as well as Bareilly’s famous zari embroidery.

Jhumka Tiraha is an 18-lakh worth of project that came into being to answer Bareilly’s growing need for tourist attention. Inaugurated by Union Minister and Bareilly MP Santosh Gangwar, Jhumka Tiraha is expected to serve as a major tourist attraction for those who come to the city looking for the lost jhumka!
