By Road
From many North Indian cities, one can travel by road to the Dalai Hills near Dharamshala. Most people drive on National Highway 503 to places like Chandigarh, Delhi, and Pathankot from Dharamshala. The drive shows Himachal Pradesh’s green landscapes and the Shivalik mountains. From Chandigarh, it takes five to six hours, and from Delhi, it takes ten to twelve hours.

By Air
Kangra Airport, also called Gaggal Airport, is the closest airport to Dharamshala. It is around 13 kilometres away. Many local airlines run regular flights between Kangra and essential cities like Delhi and Mumbai. You can take a car or a cab to the Dalai Hills. The drive from the airport to the Dalai Hills takes 30 to 45 minutes and has stunning countryside views.

By Rail
The Pathankot Railway stop is the closest big rail stop to Dharamshala. It is about 85 kilometres away. It is easy to get to Pathankot from any colossal city in India. You may go to Dharamshala from Pathankot via bus or cab. Travelling via gorgeous mountain roads from Pathankot to Dharamshala takes around two to three hours.
