2. Chapora Fort: For Selfie Lovers
Popular for its history, the Chapora Fort is one of the prime tourist attractions of Goa. The fort was built in 1617 by Adil Shah of Bijapur. He called the place Shahpoora after his name, which later changed to Shapora and then Chapora under the influence of the Portuguese. The fort offers picturesque views of the Chapora River uniting with the waters of the Arabian Sea. The ravages of time have left their mark on the fort. Inside the fort existed a church in earlier days which is now lost to history. There is a small set of signs of evidence that the fort housed military barracks and housing chambers as well.

3. Terekhol Fort: Serene Ambiance
Fort Terekhol, also called Fort Santíssima Trindade, or Fort Tiracol, is situated on the Terekhol River. It lies on the northern tip of Goa, on a hillock overlooking the Arabian Sea. This temple is one of the biggest and most frequented temples in Goa. As the name suggests, this temple is devoted to Shri Shantadurga – the Goddess of Peace. When the gods Vishnu and Shiva were warring with each other, Durga mediated and stopped the struggle. The idol of the goddess stands between the idols of Shiva and Vishnu in the temple. The Goddess is also fondly referred to as Santeri.
The current structure of the temple was built between 1713 and 1738 AD and has been renovated many times since.
