18. Ahmed Shah’s Mosque

This is one of the most-visited tourist places in Ahmedabad. This mosque is also known by the names Shahi Jam-e-Masjid and Juni Juma Masjid. It is considered to be the oldest mosque in the city and was built in the year 1414 by Ahmad Shah I, the founder of the city and its first Sultan.

19. Dada Hari Vav

This interesting stepwell made up of sandstone in the Solanki architectural style was constructed in the year 1485 by Dhai Harir who was a household lady of Mahmud Begada. Also known as the Bai Harir Sultani Stepwell, the lady was also the superintendent of the royal harem and built a mosque and a tomb here, where she was buried after death.
One of the best tourist places to visit near Ahmedabad his well was dug deep to store sufficient rainwater and meet the crisis of harem during scarce months. The five-storied well can be accessed by a spiralling staircase that descends to the water level. An additional well stands at the end of the structure and was used for irrigation. The famous Hutheesing Temple is one of the most stunning and grand Jain temples in Ahmedabad and was built in 1848 by Hutheesing Kesarising, a wealthy trader of Ahmedabad. It is dedicated to Dharmanath, the 15th Tirthankar of Jains. Its two-storied white marble architecture and the tiled courtyard purvey a blissful experience.
